Venefit™ Targeted Endovenous Therapy:

Precise and effective radiofrequency (RF) ablation treatment for Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) 1

The Venefit™ procedure is the only minimally invasive radiofrequency (RF) segmentalablation treatment that uses the Covidien ClosureFast™ endovenous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) catheter to collapse and close enlarged leg veins in patients with varicose veins and Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI). Varicose veins occur when valves in the leg veins, which carry the blood from the legs toward the heart, no longer function, causing blood to pool in the legs.

Progressive and Prevalent

Given the prevailing misconception that varicose veins are only a cosmetic issue, the majority of those affected by varicose veins or CVI do not seek or receive treatment.*,1,2 If varicose veins are left untreated, the condition can progress to CVI and result in symptoms that worsen over time, including pain, swelling and fatigue of the legs, as well as skin changes and ulcers in more severe cases.3

With only a fraction of those suffering from varicose veins and CVI actually undergoing treatment, there is a huge opportunity for physicians to help patients understand their condition and their treatment options.
